Questioning Myself

Good evening, everyone. Hope you are having a great day. I have had a great "off" day myself. Today, I woke up to a very beautiful sight outside my window. There upon the ground was a very pretty white layer of snow. The first thing that I thought of when I saw the snow was "Will I need to go into work to finish the bulletins?" I questioned this because when there's a real bad snow storm, they usually don't have church. So, my question was answered in a matter of seconds. I knew that I would head into work, but at a later time. This worked out wonderfully. All in all, there was a bright side to this day. My daughter and I spent the day watching a show on Netflix and just taking it easy. Usually, we don't get a chance to do this. I recommend that you take the time to not rush things and to take the time to see the snowflakes in the snow. Ciao for now.

Close To Our Hearts

Good evening, everyone. Hope things are going great for you. Tonight, I want to talk about something that is close to my heart. I know everyone will have something to say about this touchy subject. That's good. I want you to have something to talk about with your family and friends tomorrow. I recently found out that a dear friend is having to go through chemotherapy for cancer. It makes me wish that I was Jesus and able to heal this friend. For me to say something like this says a lot. I have not had cancer, but I have had family and friends who have had it. I don't know about you, but I always wonder how in the world cancer got started. How could someone so wonderful have something so awful? Why is there such a thing as cancer? How do we get it? These are just a few of the questions that has come to mind. Look, we know it's not contagious, but we still act as though we do not know what to say or how to act around our friends or family. But at the same time, we wan

I Saw God Today

Good evening, everyone. I hope that your week has started out decent so far. My week has started out great. With this being the beginning of a new work week, I hope that you can look around and see God everywhere. I see God when I notice the birds singing; hear the crickets chirping; see the grass, trees, and the flowers; and when I hear nature all around us. That is why I can truly say that I see God everywhere every day. Take the time between your day to day schedule and smell the roses. If you don't take the time to smell them, you probably won't even see them. Just remember that we may not see God in the form of man, but we see all the things that God has created all around us. Just don't let your daily life get in the way of seeing things for what they truly represent. I also want to say happy birthday to all of my family and friends who are having birthdays this month. May God be with you all and I hope you have many more birthdays to come. Ciao for now.

Cherished Time & A HUGE Fan

Good evening, everyone. I hope you all have had a great weekend so far. My weekend was a little more different than usual. My husband and I had made plans to go out on Saturday for our anniversary. He ended up having to stay up half the day and then working on Friday night. Since he was dead tired and my daughter wasn't feeling up to par, I ended up going out to eat by myself.  I enjoyed myself, and tried a new place, Red Lobster. The food was decent but a little too garlicky. For some reason, even though I love garlic, I have not been too fond of it. Not too much has been going on except for the NFL playoff games.. Other than the fact that the Carolina Panthers will be playing the Seattle Seahawks next week, the Green bay Packers will play the Arizona Cardinals, the New England Patriots will play the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Denver Broncos will play the Pittsburgh Steelers. I can say for certain that I am a HUGE fan of the panthers. My family gave me some Carolina Panther

Motivation

Good evening, everyone. I hope you have had a great week so far. It has been fine here on my end. Tonight,  I am sitting on my bed watching Dateline as I am typing this blog entry. As of right now, I don't have a subject for this entry. I do know that I am trying to change things up this year. So, on New Year's Eve, my family and I did our usual....drink a glass of sparkling cider juice as the ball drops down in Times Square in New York. But, unbeknownst to my family, I made a commitment (or as some would say, a promise) under my breath to do a few things. I have committed to move more, to be more organized, and to just be a better me. It was only just this past Monday that I told my daughter these commitments that I made. We have made these commitments together and with the support of each other, I know we can do it. The thing with this is that it is hard to get motivated even when I have my daughter by my side. You see, we are two peas in a pod. We are a lot alike in wa

New Year's Resolutions

Good evening, everyone. I hope you have had a great weekend. I know that I have had a great day since my favorite NFL football team got first seed by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, my Carolina Panthers won their final regular season game. This means that the Panthers will get next week off and will have home field advantage throughout their post season games leading up to the Super Bowl. Other than the games today, my new year has started out decent. My family had our annual  New Year's Day dinner that consisted of black-eyed peas, hog jawls, greens, and cornbread. The dinner was a success. I say this because there were not any arguments of any kind. And I say this strongly...we can have some very heated arguments. How many of you have made any resolutions? I have made resolutions almost every year for as long as I can remember. But this year, I have made a commitment along with my oldest daughter, Ashleigh, to move more and to get out and do more. We will be taking
