The Holidays & My New Year's Eve Tradition

Good evening, everyone. I know that it has been well over a month since my last blog entry.  A lot has happened since my last entry.

Well, I have been having a doozy of a time between doctor appointments, a birthday, Christmas, and having both daughters at home along with their dad. I made three trips to Durham & Raleigh the first and second of December. One was to pick up my daughter from college and the other two were to the UNC Women's Hospital.

As for the holidays, my family had a great Christmas. We got together the day after Christmas so my brother could make it and visit some. My brother travels for work and is hardly at home. His work has taken him to so many different places. My family is so proud of him.

We always get together on New Year's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and other holidays. So far, our family enjoys each others' company. We do this every year, and it never gets old.

Tonight, though, I am hoping to work on some of my writing while the new year rings in. I have heard that whatever you are doing as the new year rings in, you will be doing for the majority of the year. That is why I will be doing some work on my writing tonight. Wish me lots of luck.

A Few Good Nits & Picks

Good morning, everyone. Hope you have been having a great weekend getting ready to lead into Holy Week. Luckily for me, I have been having a decent weekend with just a few nits and picks. I have finally found a new therapist after not having one for well over a year now. I say this because I cannot stay on the Kidney Transplant list without seeing a therapist on a regular basis. My last therapist was a wonderful man. His name was Brian Simpson. The doctor was a reference from my first therapist, also a wonderful doctor (William Varley). You see, I have to talk to a therapist and each one that I have had has left in one way or another. Dr. Varley semi-retired to Florida. Dr. Simpson was a wonderful man who died while working in his yard. A tree fell on him. And now, I have started seeing a very sweet and caring young woman. This will be a first for me. Oh Boy, The Dentist!

Good morning, everyone. Hope you are doing better than me this morning. Yep, you've got it. I went to the dentist at the Women's Hospital yesterday morning. Oh. my. gosh! If I would have known what was to come, I don't know what I would have done instead of getting my teeth pulled at four different intervals of two weeks apart. Yesterday, we  (my mom and daughter, Ashleigh, came with me) got up to the hospital about an hour earlier than my appointment time which was for 10:30 a.m. I am telling all of you about this just in case, okay? So bear with me please. I got back to the dental clinic and they took me in around 10:15 a.m. to my little individual cubical. There are several of these rooms where several patients can be worked on at the same time by different doctors. How many there are of these doctors, I don't know.
