Kidney Disease Group Meeting

Good evening, everyone. Yes, I know that I have already made an entry today, But something came to my mind, and I needed to get it down on paper before I forgot about what it was. Lately, I have been having some crazy notions to come over me at the most inopportune times.

Take for example, I have been questioning what God has in store for me over time. I have also been getting hints about starting group meetings for different things. Okay, you are probably wondering what I mean by all of this, right? Well, it has come to me in different ways, but all in all, I am trying to get up some different group meetings on a regular basis.

The first idea that I have had is having maybe a bible study with some of the dialysis patients while getting our treatments. Would anyone be willing to do that? I wouldn't mind it. Another idea would be to get people involved by having phone friends. We pass out our phone numbers to a couple of patients and we use these to call if you are having problems or need someone to talk to. These are just two possibilities. Can you think of more? Feel free to let me know.

A Few Good Nits & Picks

Good morning, everyone. Hope you have been having a great weekend getting ready to lead into Holy Week. Luckily for me, I have been having a decent weekend with just a few nits and picks. I have finally found a new therapist after not having one for well over a year now. I say this because I cannot stay on the Kidney Transplant list without seeing a therapist on a regular basis. My last therapist was a wonderful man. His name was Brian Simpson. The doctor was a reference from my first therapist, also a wonderful doctor (William Varley). You see, I have to talk to a therapist and each one that I have had has left in one way or another. Dr. Varley semi-retired to Florida. Dr. Simpson was a wonderful man who died while working in his yard. A tree fell on him. And now, I have started seeing a very sweet and caring young woman. This will be a first for me. Oh Boy, The Dentist!

Good morning, everyone. Hope you are doing better than me this morning. Yep, you've got it. I went to the dentist at the Women's Hospital yesterday morning. Oh. my. gosh! If I would have known what was to come, I don't know what I would have done instead of getting my teeth pulled at four different intervals of two weeks apart. Yesterday, we  (my mom and daughter, Ashleigh, came with me) got up to the hospital about an hour earlier than my appointment time which was for 10:30 a.m. I am telling all of you about this just in case, okay? So bear with me please. I got back to the dental clinic and they took me in around 10:15 a.m. to my little individual cubical. There are several of these rooms where several patients can be worked on at the same time by different doctors. How many there are of these doctors, I don't know.
