Carolina Panthers & Happy Anniversary!

Good evening, everyone!
I know this is later than I usually do my blogging entries. But hey, I can say that at least I am trying to be consistent here. I hope everyone has had a great new year so far.

I am going to start out with my usual high-five of my NFL team, the Carolina Panthers. How 'bout them Panthers? They are the second seed in our division, and we are thatmuch closer to the Super Bowl.  We are going up against the 49ers next week, and we will beat them. This team is a team worth rooting for. They have such a great defense.

Okay, now that that is out of the way, I just want to say that today was my 20th wedding anniversary. I just want to say Happy Anniversary and Congratulations to all of those who are having such memorable wedding anniversaries this year. My parents will be married 49 years on February 3. My Aunt Pat and Uncle Glenn just had their 50th anniversary yesterday. At least there are still some out there that has lasted a good long time like this two lovable couples. Love to you all.

A Few Good Nits & Picks

Good morning, everyone. Hope you have been having a great weekend getting ready to lead into Holy Week. Luckily for me, I have been having a decent weekend with just a few nits and picks. I have finally found a new therapist after not having one for well over a year now. I say this because I cannot stay on the Kidney Transplant list without seeing a therapist on a regular basis. My last therapist was a wonderful man. His name was Brian Simpson. The doctor was a reference from my first therapist, also a wonderful doctor (William Varley). You see, I have to talk to a therapist and each one that I have had has left in one way or another. Dr. Varley semi-retired to Florida. Dr. Simpson was a wonderful man who died while working in his yard. A tree fell on him. And now, I have started seeing a very sweet and caring young woman. This will be a first for me. The Results Are...

Good afternoon, everyone.  I hope you are having a good start to the beautiful weekend that we will be having here in NC.  It has been a couple of weeks since my last blog. Well, we had my fundraiser two weeks ago, and the results are in. We made a grand total of $600. This is a good total for my spaghetti dinner, my book sale, and the raffle. The winners of the three drawings were Lydia from Faith UMC, Brenda from FUMC, and Linda P. These three won a gift certificate, a flower basket, and a set of social media pillows.  All in all, we had a decent turnout for a half a day's work. And thank you to all who helped me out in any way for this first fundraiser of 2015. Let's hope this ends up being a great start to a great year. Keep this in mind: if you know someone who is going through something where they have to fundraise, please get on their bandwagon and support their cause. Help them out in any way possible.
